After Kick Off Day, the design team got to work on designing a robot for gathering the materials outside the Martian base. After everyone submitted their ideas (brainstorming) and each idea was thoroughly evaulated, the team began construction on a final design.  Once the design was chosen, they started to construct the robot according to that design, test and revised it as time progressed.  The design team went to Mr. Bryan's house to make use of his workshop in order to build the robot. With every step of construction, the robot was tested for weaknesses. The playing/practice field is an exact replica of the official field for the competition.
